The We are here! project experiments with AI-generated images in the field of photography. The project is an opportunity to venture into the world of these new technologies, which are revolutionising the world of digital imaging. This technology generates images starting from a simple caption or string of words to describe the scene to be created.
Starting from the word “parthenogenesis”, selected in collaboration with the artistic direction of DRAG ME UP, the AI has thus generated a series of images, which only seem random at first glance.
Within the domain of photography, it was possible to use source images to direct the AI programme in a more controlled environment. For example, to generate static images, portraits were created in the studio, which were then taken as a starting point for the production of the artwork created by the MidJourney application.
“Real-world skills and expertise” combined with artificial intelligence – an innovative and surprising experiment.
